Visit Mesopotamia is a mobile application that aims to bridge the gap between tourists and tourism companies and groups in Iraq. The mobile application will cover information about the tourism groups, entertainment companies, and tour guides with their trip offers. The application will add value to the current tools for finding trips and tours through social media and physical visits to the companies to be upgraded in a categorized form in the app.

The application will be the first one providing three local languages (Kurdish, Arabic, and English). It allows audiences from north to south of Iraq and the expatriates living in the area to find the tourism groups easier and faster in one place. Additionally, it treats the pain point of finding the right places, events, and offers by comparing prices, schedules of the weekly tours, and available tourism groups. As a reward, the registered tour guides and tourism groups will pay a monthly fee to (the Visit Mesopotamia application) to stay on the platform. Additionally, the application will advertise for another tech, tourism, and cultural fields such as hotels, mobile lines, and others.

 

The Visit Mesopotamia application is the smartest way to find the right tour guides and groups for the tourists across the area. The application is more than a collective feature but a traveling pocket friend.

With only one click, tourists can explore many places and choices available.

Tourists can customize their tour plan or compare the available tours and prices to different resorts and cultural sites.

Additionally, the application will support the creation of job opportunities for tour guides who currently have limited opportunities to reach their audiences.

Moreover, the application will raise awareness about the preservation of cultural heritage through disseminating stories and articles in the app.

 

 

In this campaign, we are aiming to collect 12.5 million IQDs to develop the application and promote it.  The fund will be spent on the application that will be built from scratch, marketing costs on social media promotion, and banners in the strategic areas of Erbil (parks, airports, and other locations) to increase the downloads of the application. The fund will enable the business to have a more sustainable source of income that will be profitable and cover future operational costs.

The area coverage of the application will be Erbil for the first 6 months with expansion to the other governorates in the South of Iraq and the rest of the Kurdistan region according to the next phase plan.
